Educational project

The Montessori philosophy is a life project. It seeks to enable the child to reach its full potential through interaction with a prepared environment, rich in materials, infrastructure, affection and respect. In this setting, a child has an opportunity to follow an individually guided process, which focuses on stimulating their development.

The method is in line with current scientific findings, in particular neuroscience, which indicates that between the ages of 0 and 6, human beings form the fundamental brain structures on which future intellectual and emotional development will be sustained.

In this educational method, the learning development has no limits. Children can focus on learning about anything they choose, desire and need in a dynamic and supportive environment and always based on an essential component that is their own motivation.

The Montessori environment encourages all areas of learning: science, mathematics, language, arts, motor skills, and much more.

Equally important to the educational foundation are cooperation with others, social skills, self-esteem development, attention to detail, perseverance, focus, commitment, autonomy and leadership, to name a few.

The Montessori Square team

Enrolling your child with us means enrolling them in a small school, where caring is a key value and where the community of parents is committed to a lively and joyful school. Opting for Montessori Square means choosing a soft cocoon for your child for another 3 years, but also ensuring that their thirst for learning is preserved.

We take particular care in the follow-up of your child with the French tool "Je Validate", which matches the competences of the National Education with the Montessori material. The follow-up is always individualized, taking into account the child's critical stages of development.

Montessori method is known for the concept of "free choice", but that can be often misunderstood. Contrary to many preconceived ideas, the pedagogy is not only benevolent, it is also very structured. The educators are there to set the framework for children withing which the child can make their free choices. It is a matter of joint education, and the family being the first place of learning. Just as in your home, a child is not choosing whatever it is that crosses their mind, they choose within the framework that you impose on them.

The school is laic and it implements the values of the Republic of France - freedom, equality and fraternity. We strive to ensure that the child develops all the skills required by the National Education System. The school is registered with the Rectorat de l'Académie de Paris.

The Montessori pedagogy cannot do everything, so in order to help with any learning or behavioural problems that might occur, we cooperate with different specialists (i.e. pediatricians, psychologists, speech therapists, psychomotor therapists, etc.).
